Yesterday we finished the promised wipe of the world deleting all changes players had made to the world. This was a last ditch effort to bring players back to the decaying Divinity.

As we can see from the graph on the website the playercount has significantly improved so the wipe has been a success. And as promised a copy of the world that contains all of the buildings pre-wipe has been uploaded and here is the download link.

Disclaimer: The world takes a lot of RAM to load so you will need a good computer, also make sure to have a low render distance or your game will crash. Also there won't be a worldborder stopping you so if you venture out too far you will start loading parts of the map that originally weren't there. Also the coordinates should still match the ones in the dynmap.

Anyways Roob wanted to bring the third world to a close with a nice lore reason and so I will be writing his lore here with some little additions of my own.

At the end of the 19th century magical and technological research had reached an all time high, especially amongst the grand wizards of FelixFelicis.

But at the same time a plague had spread across the lands and the population of the world was plummeting. Concern about the economic outcome of the loss of workers drove the FelixFelicis mages to find a way of preventing the market crash. They travelled to the end to meditate and think of ways to cure the plague or restore the world's mineral wealth.

During their deep meditation they all saw a vision, they were instructions for a spell written in a very old tongue but the wizards managed to decipher some of the instructions and read "World, Reshape". Excited over their findings the wizards started gathering the materials needed for the spell to work, nearly half the world's lapis was gathered into one place and the wizards' began the ritual.

A large thunderstorm appeared above the wizards and it kept expanding until the clouds turned pitch plack and a set of glowing eyes appeared in the storm. A loud roar was heard and out of the giant mess of clouds came a 600 block long dragon, with scales as black as coal and eyes as red as magma. Spreading its wings it lifted towards the sky. Its intent was to destroy all civilization, and its name was Níðhöggr or Nidhögg/Nidhugg in the common tongue.

It went on to destroy Lordaeron and then continued to wreak havoc across the land, burning and eating everyone.
However some people had managed to dig out caves in the world's various mountains and hid inside of them until the threat would disappear.

A millenia later the people surface from their caves and settle the now fertile lands of Divinity. The remains of the dragon can still be found, apparently the dragon starved to death after it finished destroying everything. Rumour also has it that one of the wizards that summoned the dragon, Durflugdenstein rode the dragon until its death and he is now preparing to recreate the economy just like he originally set out to.

This event shall forever be remembered as Ragnarök.
